Mark Okraku Mantey

Ghana Creative Art Council Chairman and Hitz fm programmes manager, Mark Okraku Mantey has expressed his worry on radio with Jay Foley when he was called to share his opinion and suggestions on Day Break Hitz, when Ghanaian singer, King Promise was in the studio to promote his brand new single which features self-acclaimed dancehall King, Shatta Wale dubbed, “Alright”.

Mark Okraku Mantey who is currently enjoying his leave at home was called on phone to add his voice to the conversation, why there’s love and support in Nigeria Showbiz industry but in Ghana, to share or retweet your fellow Ghanaian artiste song is even a problem.

“It is not by force to share my fellow artiste song. Have you seen a brands manager of a company, advertising a different company’s brand on his social media platform?” Mark Okraku Mantey started by asking this question.

Ghanaian celebrities has always been complaining of lack of support and love in the industry but Mark said , yes support is good but there’s competition in the industry and competition is good for business. The Nigerians we always comparing our industry with, do you think they don’t have competition in-between them? They compete each other but when they come out as a country(Nigeria), they come out as a one(team). There’s competition in every institution. We compete each other at work but we come out as one company.

The Nigerians you always comparing your industry with, does not know the business more than we Ghanaians, just that they have the numbers. We equally know the business but some of the Showbiz people always paint the picture like Nigerians are more better than the Ghanaian artiste.

Mark Okraku Mantey stated so many interesting educative issues that will help the Showbiz industry.
