As they say walls do have ears, there has been rumors in the entertainment fraternity in Tema (where music lives), harbor City of Ghana in the Greater Accra Region.
Tema has been the solid rock of Sarkodie’s career when he started doing music professionally. Ghana’s favorite rapper and most decorated artist, Sarkodie always say in his music “If all his fans forsake him, he still knows he has full support from Tema”.
He always does well to acknowledge Home fans but he has never hosted a show in Tema before and that doesn’t sound right.
Over the years, Tema was the music hub for Ghana music. Great artistes like Sarkodie, R2bees, D. Cryme, Ponobiom, Dadie Opanka, Stay Jay etc were holding the flag of Ghana high when it comes to music.
Sarkodie strongest and die hard fan base has always been from home(Tema) and nothing has changed. But now Tema Citizens are not happy with SARKODIE for not able to organize just a single show for them.
VGMA’s artist of the Decade, Sarkodie has heard the rumors and he has accepted his culpability.
On 30th August, 2019, Sarkodie performing on “Vac With Dj Mensah” at Datus School Complex made a special promise to Tema after his energetic performance, he said “I owe Tema one free Show and it will be very soon” he concluded.
