Croatian Football Star, Luka MODRIC who took Croatia National Team to 2018 World Cup and made a history by winning Silver in the finals has been crowned the Ballon d’or player of the year. He won the Ballon d’or ahead of his formal teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo and Atletico Madrid/France Footballer, Antione Griezmann.
Luka Modric is the Skipper of the Croatia National team and Real Madrid Midfielder who has contributed massively in the success of the team and recently winning the Champions League for the third time in a role to his credit.
Modric is a play-maker and he can play from defensive to attacking midfielder.
He also captained The Croatia National team to the World Cup for the second time and this time around, he strived them to the World Cup finals against France which France won the Cup. Due to his great performance, he was awarded “ FIFA Best Player Of The Tournament “
Luka Modric is the World Best Player for 2018 and the first Croatian Player to win Ballon d’or . Luka Modric was born on September 9, 1985.
FIFA's jury voted for him at the World Cup as he won the Golden Ball, then captains, coaches, journalists and players voted for him at The Best, then more journalists gave him their vote for France Football.
The Award ceremony was held in Paris and Modric thanked his fans and everyone who voted for him.
